Hey y’all!
Over this summer, we had our very first intern! It was scary and exciting all at the same time because we had no idea what to expect! Allie Rumohr is a Senior in the Hospitality Management program at Western Kentucky University. We were so excited to get to know Allie and teach her what we know and show her the ropes of how different events are executed. Not only did we make a new friend, but we were able learn so many things from her as well! At the beginning of the summer, Whitnee tasked Allie with planning and executing her very own styled shoot by the end of her internship. On a rainy Thursday afternoon, Allie was able to see all of her dreams and plans come to fruition and we are so proud of her! Below is what she had to say about the whole experience.

The sweetest couple ever, Kyle Wheeler and Noelle Trebendis are freshly engaged!
In this shoot I chose to incorporate several “fresh” items such as fruit and flowers. I really wanted to incorporate lemons into this shoot, so I scattered them throughout the greenery. The beautiful fresh cut flowers were provided by Jessica Broyles at Starry Fields Farm. To add a pop of color, I picked up some vibrant macaroons from Little Fox Bakery. Not only did they look good, they tasted good as well! With the help of the fabulous Lindsey Jones Photography, we were able to create a light, and fun engagement shoot.
This shoot came to life on a rainy Thursday afternoon. Whitnee and Kaleighn came in to save the day and helped me create an area indoor to have the shoot. Our lovely couple, Kyle and Noelle, were sweet enough to model for us and did such a wonderful job.
One of the best things about the big day has always been planning ahead for it. Where do you propose? What types of flowers should you have? Should it be private, or in front of friends and family?
Kyle and Noelle met two years ago at 643 sports bar in Bowling Green, KY when Kyle was being a wing man for a friend of his. Kyle said that they really hit it off but didn’t exchange phone numbers or anything thinking that they wouldn’t really pursue much after that night. But, as it turned out, they actually lived on the same road. So, they met up again, and again, and again walking their dogs together. They spent hours talked about anything and everything. They became best friends and fell so fast for each other. Kyle took Noelle back to the same very table they sat at when they first met and popped the question. Kyle said, “she was and still is out of my league. Let’s just hope she never figures that out!”
This sweet couple is so playful, passionate, and respectful with one another. They shared many kisses and macaroons together at their engagement shoot here at Highland Stables.
Now it’s time to prepare and get excited for their BIG DAY this weekend! Congrats to the happy couple!
